EMC 2024 in Dublin is looking for some volunteers to help run the event on 18–23 August 2024. We need people who are willing to help with the process of registration on day 1 and be in charge of our five lecture theatres throughout the days when lectures are running. There will be two volunteers (along with session convenors) in each room. Their duties will consist of:
- loading speakers’ talks on the computer
- connecting the room’s AV system to the zoom link provided
- monitoring zoom chat for questions/other input
- carrying roving microphones to people who wish to ask questions.
We will ensure that you are able to attend the sessions in which you are interested and, should you wish to submit an abstract, you will be able to present your work.
In return the conference will waive your conference registration fee. (Note that this includes attendance at the conference banquet but not at the workshops or field trips which are charged separately.) Please note that accommodation is not provided.
