Venue

Our conference will take place in the Arts Building of Trinity College Dublin, Ireland’s oldest University.

Above is a photo of the Burke theatre, one of the five we will be using during the conference. These are all adjacent and will allow for easy transition between sessions.

Trinity College was founded in 1592 and is located in the centre of Georgian Dublin. The University is best known for the ‘Old Library’; the largest library in Ireland, built between 1712 and 1732. The most famous room in the old library is the long room which houses 200,000 of the library’s oldest books.

The most famous book of the old library is ‘The Book Of Kells’. This book is an illuminated manuscript Gospel book written in Latin, containing the four Gospels of the New Testament together with various prefatory texts and tables. It dates back to 800 AD and is beautifully illustrated.
